What do Chihuahuas look like you ask? Well odds are youÕve probably seen lots of Chihuahuas at the park or in the movies or in television. Some of the most famous dogs have been Chihuahuas.

The famous Taco Bell dog was a Chihuahua, particularly a short haired Chihuahua. Another famous Chihuahua was Bruiser, from the movie Legally Blonde starring Reese Witherspoon.

Chihuahuas are the smallest breed of dog in the world. They are classified as toy breed, which means they are very small. They weigh less and twelve pounds normally and a lot of times less than 6 pounds. The normally stand between 6 to 9 inches tall.

There are only two types of Chihuahuas, short haired and long haired. Long haired Chihuahuas have a hair coat length of about one to two inches. The hair is wavy and not curled.

Chihuahuas may have a solid coat color or may have markings. Most Chihuahuas are essentially tan. Other colors are black, brown, blonde, and white.

The head is shaped like an apple, the eyes are round and black, and the ears are pointy. The tail usually straight and does not curl.

Chihuahuas may have a distinctive look, but they also have a distinctive personality. Chihuahuas are famous for their temperament. The dislike other pets and small children, and usually only get along well with other Chihuahuas.
